I never thought moving was a big deal until our family made our last big move. It is definitely one of the most stressful times for any family. If you are moving on your own or using a moving company, it is almost definite that some things will get lost. I lost several things last time I moved.

One of the most important things that I lost was my extra boxes of contact lenses. It might have been possible that someone thought they were trash, but this was an essential that had to be replaced immediately. I also lost a hairbrush that was one of my favorites.

My children lost a couple of things during the transition between houses. They lost a bag of coloring books, which led to some major disappointment. As if losing the coloring books were not bad enough, they also lost the crayons. It is understandable that things like this are going to get lost between houses. My children were delighted when their grandmother replaced what had been lost.

The fifth thing that I lost the last time I moved was a shower curtain. When thinking about moving it is hard to imagine losing items such as these, but you quickly understand once the process begins.

Next time you move, be sure to pack and label everything appropriately. The packing is the most important process in order to ensure your valuables stay in one place! Also don’t forget to turn your satellite dish back in to your satellite TV company or they WILL charge you for it, trust me!
